About me

I am Norbert Pollemans, a commercial leader with 15+ years of experience. Digital technology has changed our world dramatically and I believe we are just at the beginning. So as change is the only constant nowadays, it’s essential for any organization or person to adapt to their environment continuously, to stay relevant. That’s why I am passionate about helping organizations and teams to grow, to  transform, to innovate and progress successfully in the digital age.

Handboek Strategisch Eventmarketing

In 2020 Leon Kruitwagen approached me if I was interested to participate in writing a book about strategic event marketing. The answer was Yes! We took on the challenge with 10 co-authors, each experts in their field. The book covers every aspect in event strategy, from setting the right goals, communication, the use of data, hybrid, virtual en live events and much more. I wrote the chapter about digitalisation in events. The book was printed by Noordhof and presented in april 2022. It is used in master and bachelor programs and is a comprehensive read for every marketing/event professional.

The Upside Down Amsterdam

Between 2018 and 2021 I developed the concept and business plan for the largest interactive Instagram museum in Europe. After opening in June 2020, we generated over 50.000 visitors in first 6 months of opening, with 100+ million reach on Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook and offline media. In my interim role as sales & marketing director, I established strong partnerships with companies such as Unilever and Expedia and I worked with leading influencers such as Anna Nooshin (1M+ followers).

FOCUS bikes

Between 2017 and 2018 I realised an awesome project for Focus Bikes. Focus produces high-end mountainbikes and road racing cycles. Focus is part of Pon Bike and as digital transformation director (interim) I worked on the re-positioning for Focus Bikes to become a leader in performance e-bikes. I led the design and development of an ecommerce platform for Focus Bikes. Also I have restructured the online marketing strategy and activation. One of the campaigns included: Focus Transalp36 - the crossing of the legendary Trans Alp route in 36 hours with performance e-bikes. See:

SINC creative agency

In 2007 I founded SINC, a creative agency delivering unique concepts, designs and campaigns for digital and offline touchpoints. For 10 years I have been the agency’s managing director, while producing award winning work for brands such as Samsung, Nationale-Nederlanden, Brunel in the Volvo Ocean Race, ING, Adecco, Coty, Olympus, Binck, Dutch Government, FD Media Group, Fox and myspace.com. Awards: SAN Accent, Esprix, Fonk50 best Dutch Agencies.

O’Neill Europe

In my 8 years at action sports brand O’Neill, I have been responsible for marketing/communications in Europe. This included brand communication and PR; media partnerships with action sports media like Method, Surf Europe and Onboard. I delivered many event and media productions for worldtour events such as: O'Neill Deep Blue Open Maldives (WQS), O'Neill Highland Open (WQS), O'Neill Xtreme Verbier (FWT), O'Neill SB Jam Davos (TTR), O'Neill Pro Freestyle Avoriaz, O'Neill World Cup of Surfing Hawaii (WQS). And I have developed partnerships with brands such as Swatch, Redbull and Canon. Moreover I have worked on brand innovation projects – such as the introduction of O’Neill TV – a retail narrowcasting channel and The O’Neill HUB - a line of wearable electronics, becoming one of the first brands in the world to adopt this technology.

  • Kunst.nl

    Kunst.nl is the largest art rental platform in the Netherlands. In this project, I have supported in the development of the proposition for a completely new art-membership, to rebuild the website, online presence and the implementation of an online marketing including social media and an ecommerce strategy.

  • WeQuit.nl

    WeQuit helps you to quit smoking through 6 online video session. As interim commercial director, I have helped to double new leads and optimized the conversion funnel by restructuring online marketing and implementing a new online strategy for scalable growth.

  • Brain Research Center

    Brain Research Center is a clinical trial center, that tests new and innovative medicines against brain diseases such as Alzheimer before they come on the market. As interim marketing director I helped to rebuild and improve the web presence, online marketing and improved lead generation for participants, and supported in the development of an internal software platform to be able to manage the full process of clinical trials.

    Noowevents is a versatile ticket sales platform that I have developed for event producers and venues. Within a couple of minutes you can start selling tickets or register visitors and connect to several marketing platforms through integrated API’s.
